| Program Manager, Life Sciences Workforce Development - - - - - - This is a newly funded position through a 13-N grant from the NYS Department of Labor entitled “Regional Economic Transformation through a Sector or Cluster Based Approach”. The focus of this position relates to coordination of program development and more particularly the deployment (training), program management and monitoring of program activities focused on student training and learning, particularly in Grades K-12, as it relates to the “Career Pathways in Life Sciences” and “High Tech Careers in Life & Health Sciences” programs being developed coordinately with the University at Buffalo and Genesee Community College. Duties include Program and Project management to ensure all programmatic content development activities are completed, produced and available for deployment throughout the Western Finger Lakes school districts on time and on budget; create and manage student pipeline and serve as the school district interface to include interaction with school district superintendents and related school district administrators / teachers region-wide. Develop a train-the-trainer program and involve and enroll established grant partners within the program deployment (training) aspects to ensure optimal student exposure / training. Required: Bachelor’s Degree in Education, Life Sciences or Business, a self starter with highly effective people skills and project management skills with an interest in the life sciences, workforce development and training along with a passion for helping children. Preferred: Master’s Degree in Education, School Counseling or related Business and/or Life Sciences background with demonstrated experience in project management success, computer literacy, strong people skills and experience within the K-12 educational setting. Compensation: A competitive compensation package including health, dental, 403(b) and membership in the NY State retirement system is offered.
